MNC Working: Creating the need

MNC Working: Creating the need

Just look at the modern business world, Government machinery fails, local businessmen undergo the feeling of being unsuccessful but as soon as a MNC enters the arena scene start changing, the gloomy sky start taking shape of pleasant atmosphere with favorable winds and never before clarity makes the vision more and more positive and filled with excitement. Does these MNC are with a magic lamp to produce the magnificent effect? Does they are superman, capable of bringing these drastic and unbelievable changes? It is fact these are the peoples seating at the money Everest, huge investing capacities, more skilled human power and power of sustaining losses for a considerable long period are making them different of lot but their success source does not lies here in. As these supporting factors can be managed and made available by any body active in the field and wish to touch never before success heights.

In fact the strength of MNC's lies in their unmatched and marvelous quality called "creating the need". They are not followers of "Deserve before Desire" but are the masters of generating "Desires". They believe in "If desire is there human beings will go for the fulfillment either by hook or crock". They also believe in making the commodities part of living styles, Just look at young Indians, instead of cheaper fresh lime juice or healthier coconut water they are running behind costly carbonated cold drinks which may also prove a health hazard, and making it icon of life style. They even neither think nor hesitate to pay more than Rs. 10/- for a bottle of these cold drinks for which manufacturing cost is less than a rupee. Even in the Punjab "chhola Bhatura" or in the south "Idlee" are fighting for their existence against Burger culture. This is not because of these burger and other such fast foods are more nutritious and more health supportive but just as these MNC have successfully highlighted the unhygienic conditions under which Indian foods are prepared publicly and hide the harms of MNC products. We are avoiding to eat "Vada Pav" at road side stall just because it is being prepared before us but don't hesitate to eat "Pizza" just because we are observing gloves covered hands in the action.

It is fact an old story from my memory inspired me to go for this writing, that story not only reflects the functioning of MNC's, there ways of creating need but also successfully broke the myth of modern youth that they are the progressive human spices over their parents, modern youth may be leading on the fronts of technology and handling the modern equipment but surely we are miles and miles behind in spotting the adverse effect of a certain happing on our future life, in comparison of our elders, at least these stories are supportive of this fact. I know many of my blog readers will show their disagree ness with this at this moment but I am sure after reading the story all will left with only option of being agree with this.

As n my this blog posting is going to be a bulky and lengthy hence I am going to post the story as the separate and concluding part of this.

Sex and Sensex

Sex and Sensex

Indians or rather the citizens of third world countries are under the storms of these two words Sex and Sensex resulted and entered into their life from the globalization. The market movers and kings of the western world are of the opinion that what is need of sending the war ships and military troupes to these countries? Just clear the roads for our entrances and we will conquer them. Yes they can. With the huge financial sources they are able to dictate terms of economic world and with condoms they are there to destroy and demolish the cultural values and social life. As we all know no community can live without own language so is the relation of Nation with culture and life style. We are Indians just because of having a distinct life style and a specific culture which is making us different from the lot. The day, life style of Mumbai and New York will start running on the same lines there will be No American or No Indian, It will be just globalization? Do we wish to see an increased pre marriage pregnancy rate? Are we ready and wishing to see our social life, with high growth rate of alone men, alone women or single parent? Do we find sufficient reasons to kill our rich social traditions for the sensex boost? Will, that, so called money flow into life will make us richer in true sense? These and this kind of many questions are needed to be addressed before we opt for the word globalization.

Look at the life changes that are being predicted and being posed on our minds through the advertisements for bringing condom revolution in India. I don't know weather this fear of Aids is human created or is the curse of God for the human beings but surely this is working for the condom revolution. When a young collegiate boy goes for overnight outing with friends, this market created progressive father slowly and softly, in a hidden manner hands over the condom, so called safety weapon. Thank God, still either the imagination of bold Indian mother is away from the reach of the copy writers of these market movers or they didn't dare to do so for the fear of failure in their strategies.

Sex is the integral part of the life and from the ancient times India is holding the position of leader in the sex education. "Kamsutara" and "Khajuraho Temple" are the two of the most famous gifts given to the rest of the human world by the India in relation of this. When these market movers says that India and other third world countries should open their schools for the sex education, I wish to have a laugh with roar, what a joke, they are asking to open the door for the entrance of what that exist in our society since so many centuries. It is really unfortunate that elites of our present education system are also supportive of this and unable to see the camouflaged aim wisely kept hidden behind the fear of deadly disease Aids or we can say that fear of this disease is helping them to move a step forward in their aim. I recall and wish to share with you all, when I got the night fall first time; I went to my father asking him what was that? "You have seen the earthen pot, we use to store water. What will happen if we kept on pouring water in it" was the question of my father. "Surely water will flow out as soon as the pot is filled completely" I answered. "The same thing is here; this is a natural reaction, after a specific time our body wishes to indicate its readiness for the acquiring of reproduction capacity and does it in this way. You neither to worry about it nor to think about it because it is quite possible that till your marriage, this might happen several times with you it is nothing else but the indication of being completely filled". Just consider the same situation with a boy from the present era, he will not go to his father in this situation just because these market movers have successfully washed his brain with the thought that he belongs to progressive spices of human beings over his parents and salt of wound is that our western world inspired education system is helping him in making his thought stronger and stronger. Technical advancement is also working in favor of this.

This valley of difference between the generations is becoming wider also due to our vision towards the sex. For the western world sex is a just a physical phenomenon, It is a want of body which is to be fulfilled any where and any how, Where as we Indians look at the sex as most essential action of the life for keeping and natural balance and human population in tact , we believe in controlled use of sex where as for them sex is commodity of unlimited use. In the western world there is no space for the need of specific place and mental health for the sexual behavior because it is just a physical happening can take place any where and with any body. In contrasts to that we Indians are still with the mind set of thinking about place, partner and mental health before undergoing the experience of sexual behavior. The western world is steeping yet more step forward in this direction with the sex without intercourse, As for them it is physical so there is no space for the involvement of emotions. These are the basic differences in the vision towards the sex. I would like to conclude this, if the just one tenth of the amount, which is being used for bringing the condom revolution as the safety precaution keeping the fear of Aids at front , was made available for the research of curing the Aids, It is quite possible that by this time we might be with the cure of this deadly disease.

Coming to sensex, the first major change reflecting from this, it is going to fill our lives with two days of week with leisure time and I don't think to say any thing after quoting the phrase " Empty minds are the workshops of devils". If we look at our economy it is at hands of unorganized and diversified sector. No individual or group of individuals is in the position of controlling the market or giving specific direction to the market. The eagle eye of market movers is concentrating on getting hold and penetration in this area under the curtains of globalization. Just think about the changes the free market will go under the control and directions of few handfuls. The supporters are arguing easy and abundant availability. Just consider, our economy is partially open for globalization, Mango the king of fruits is now available through out the year in the form of pulp to give is lingering taste of mango shack but what about the health hazards due to the synthetics used for the preservation? Many might, will oppose me, calling my thoughts primitive, but this is again due to our attitude, developed over the last 20-30 years, of looking at things and happenings with the spectacle of western world.

I am concluding this with, friends third world war is on without human blood sheds. It is being fought on the grounds of moral and culture with the weapons of sex and sensex, which are more deadly and with more destroying powers even over the nuclear weapons because these are going to kill you in installment and step by step. What more do I say this is the life and life goes like this.

Who is speaking: Who is Listening

Who is speaking: Who is Listening

Once a famous Veena Vadak, was asked to play the instrument in a close gathering of elites, as soon he finished people started showering words of praise upon him. A young lady went near to him and taking his hand, holding in her two hands and thanked him with a very excited voice. She was surprised to hear from the artist “I can’t understand why you all are thanking me, I have just played the instrument, instead of me it is one who listened that is liable and suitable person for your thanks.” The lady was shocked as playing Veena itself is not a joke and impressing the elite was even more though task. She went away with a confused mind, who had listened? Certainly was I, do I thank my self?

This often happens a speaker goes on speaking but who cares about listening? Surely listening is much more difficult than the speaking. Speaking and listening are the ways of communicating with each other and often lack of these creates valley of conflicts and misunderstandings. Just look into our day to day life, at every walk of life, from work place to homes, from school to political fields, and even places related with religious and spiritual activities, voice of complains are generating and becoming stronger and stronger. The probable reason is that every body is with a wish and will of speaking nobody is there for listening. You might have come across in the situation in which you are speaking about one thing, the person in front of you is listening other thing and understanding some thing totally different from what you had said. This is happening because there are many institutions which can train you in the art of speaking but have you ever heard of an institution for training in the art of listening?

Speaking and listening both are acts of human sense organs, in both voice is the most important and integral part but even then both are not the same. Speaking is an active human status while listening is passive posture which requires a lot of patience, calm and open status of mind. Often human beings lacks in holding these there that’s why you will find that we are eager for speaking and most of times try to avoid listening. We love and enjoy giving advice just because we are getting chance of speaking. Speaking is also taken as putting ones thoughts, reasons and forcing others to accept it, to establish our supremacy over others. As this satisfies our ego hence we often hear sentence like “I agree with you but……..” or “frankly speaking your suggestions are too good but……..”

Listening is just not the action of collecting voice by the ears but it is complicated phenomenon in which besides the ears, our mind, wisdom and intelligence are also involved. What we are listening is not depended of the ability of the speakers? Speaker may be of the high quality and expert of the field but from speech we grab only, just what we had listened. When we are listening words are going through the filtration process of our mind, intelligence and wisdom. Mind is valuating these words and our wisdom starts being busy in preparing the answer. Cross your fingers and answer honestly don’t you thinking about your comments on this article, while reading this?

Listening is a magical action and to experience it you need just to observe how the people are speaking. Keep your calm intact and keep on observing you might will be surprised to know that people famous for their love are not only ignoring each other but using others existence for very minute things of life. Now turn to your self for the observation, how are you listening? Surely just this observation will bring a lot of change within you. Start this with your family members and be assured you will find they are more concern and careful about you in compare of the past because listening means the concentration on the thoughts of others. As thoughts are expression of mental energy hence this energy transfer will bring rigid ness and flexibility in your relations and make them more enjoyable. Remember this is the true way of mutual living and life goes like this.

Mobile Boom

Mobile Boom

Every era has own status symbols it was time when two wheeler automobiles surrendered this to cars and then came the device of talk with freedom and life started to revolve around the slogan "remain connected any time any where" this is also now preparing to handover its position of being the status symbol to multimedia mobile. In fact the techno savvy atmosphere of modern times is filling the life of youth with the storms of speed and tension and hence it emphasizes the need of entertainment at its peak. This is main reason behind the boom of multimedia mobile. Not only the MNC are using mobiles for their customer penetration but even the small cities like Kolhapur are coming up with the mobile portals like m.kolhapurworld.com

It was towards the end sixth decade that Indian markets started loaded with the television sets and experts started predicting the life end of radio services, before we go further just look at the radio history in India.

Radio in India
History of radio in India dates back 1920, when first transmit ion of radio club Bombay [Mumbai] was started and followed by another privately own station at Calcutta.
In1930 government took control and named it as Indian transmition services the name was changed to All India Radio [AIR] in the year 1936 and since the 1957 to Aakashwani.
It was 1977 when first FM [frequency module] service was started at Madras [Chennai] and up to 1993 there were only five cities with this facility. At present there are more than 400 FM channels which are covering about 240 large and small cities.

Mobile boom
It is just over a decade for this which has not only changed the fashion styles of youth but besides adding to vocabulary provided facility of sending written message [SMS] had attracted youth at large and before this attractions gets faded the expert and companies came with facility of capturing photos. This has not only given boom to mobile industry but also created many social problems as easiness of clicking photos leads towards the misuse of device. As I mentioned earlier the lives of youth is filled with speed and tensions hence the need and demands of entertainments are at ever high note so the fusion of radio and mobile came in the existence as it was not only easy but also have the capacity of holding the nerves of not only youth but also of the common people who while traveling, doing domestic and office works needs a refreshing moment.

At present we are heading towards the multimedia mobile and the day is not for away that even for the net connectivity will be not be depended of the computers. More and more sites like m.kolhapurworld.com are going to hit the tiny screen of our handsets and tempting us to use them for knowledge, entertainment and shopping purpose.

Teacher: co parent

Teacher: co parent
[Types of Teachers]

Teachers are considered as the co parents of children because this is teacher who helps kids in the development of mental faculties and shapes and guides for the development of social attitude essential for the calm, peaceful, responsible and successful future social life. The job of teacher can only compare with fine art in which high quality of skills are involved. Though it is much hard, almost impossible for a teacher to turn a dum into a genius but it is also fact that teacher is the only person who can find out the hidden talents, skills, attitude and intelligence of a kids, ahead of all and beside providing supportive atmosphere for the growth of these, creates opportunities for exposure of these, ultimately resulting in the development of personality of students. In India we are with rich heritage of relationship of Guru [teacher] and Shishya [Students] it is unfortunate that like other human relation is also on the verge of being killed by modernization of human society. In fact in this era this Guru Shishya tradition is almost vanishing from our social life. There may be various reasons for this but as this is a separate topics hence I will summarize it here with in the present era teachers are professional and Students are looking at teachers as their servants because in India there is democratic way of ruling and teachers are public servants being paid by government.

At every walk of life human beings are with ideals [ones standards for imitation] because psychics says that more than 90% of behavioral changes of human beings have origin in the power of copying others. Student life is the primary stage of setting ideals and most of the times students are looking at teachers for fulfillment of this, this might be the reason which increases responsibility of teachers towards the society and nation and often force us to see the adjective "creators of nation" in association of the teachers. Students with their own power of observation, analyzes personality and behaviors of the teachers and put them into various categories, though these categories are changing year to year and group to group but a few that remains constant are

1. Funny Teachers: Students are feeling fun by living in the company of these teachers. As in the modern days life is more stressful ever hence teachers of this category owns major share of popularity votes.
2. Friendly Teachers: These are the teachers who put "Friendship" at the top of all the human relations and try to interact with students accordingly but they often forget that this behavior will result in the creation of false confidence among the students. Teachers of this category enjoy a good share of popularity votes.
3. Greedy Teachers: These types of teachers are often eager to hear words of praise for self only from the mouth of students and favors students who criticizes other teachers in front of them.
4. Merciful Teachers: These are the teachers who think responsibility of shaping the attitude of students lies mainly at the hands of parents; hence they often concentrate on completing syllabus of their subject and behave lion heartily for over looking at the mistakes committed by the students. Surprisingly these teachers holds minimum share of popularity votes.
5. Perfectionist Teacher: These teachers try to perfect in every act and assume the same for the students, hence often punish students very heavily even for the common human weakness.
6. Strict Teachers: Teachers of this category are non popular among the students during their days of student life but when these students enter into real life surprisingly they find their heart filled with a kind of respect and liking for teachers of this category.
7. The Best Teacher: Majority of these comes from the category of "Strict Teachers" the only difference is that on contrast of the perfectionist teachers they know the art of avoiding human mistakes and become friendly with students at only the appropriate times. Their action with students goes in the style of looking after.

This is not a perfect category analysis of the teachers but just an attempt to try to have insight into the personality of the teacher.

Teacher's Day: Celebrations

Teacher's Day: Celebrations

5th September is just two day away and every year our country is celebrating this birthday of educationist Sarvapalli Radhakrishan as the teacher's day. We all know that on this day teacher's are being felicitated though the whole year they remain side lined and ignored. From village level to state and National level teachers are felicitated with the "Best Teacher" award and that marks the end of celebrations.
It will be interesting to know how this day is celebrated in the other parts of the globe. A few illustration of the celebration styles of the day, which I came to know are

China
The Teachers' Day was founded at National Central University in 1931. It was adopted by the central government of Republic of China in 1932. In 1939, the day was set on August 27, Confucius's birthday. People's Republic of China government abrogated it in 1951. It was reestablished in 1985, and the day was changed to September 10. Now more and more people are trying to revert the Teachers' Day back to Confucius's birthday.

Russia
Before the 1994 the day was celebrated on the first Sunday of September but know the celebrations are held on 5th October.

USA
In the united state the day is celebrated on the Tuesday of the first full week of May, but it is not an official holiday there.

Thailand
on November 21, 1956, government of Thailand passed a resolution for the celebration of the teacher's day and The first Teachers' Day was celebrated on January 16, 1957.

Iran
In Iran, Teacher's Day is celebrated on May 2. It commemorates the assassination day of Iranian professor Ayatollah Morteza Motahhari on May 2, 1980.

Turkey
In Turkey, Teacher's Day is celebrated on 24th of November. Kemal Atatürk dedicated November 24th to teachers. There is no holiday on this day.

Malaysia
In Malaysia, May 16th is celebrated as Teacher's Day. The day is a working day.

I just wish to end this, do remember teachers are also human beings composed from the same elements like other human beings and are with same ambitions, enthusiasm, jealousy, desires, dedication, and emotions of love and hate. In this era of physical wants considering them as superman is a kind of injustice with them.

Being on Top

Being on Top

Indira Gandhi, Famous Indian politician and former Prime Minister Of India, Bala Saheb Thakre, a cortoonist turned politician, Amitabh Bachan, an actor with unmatched success run, Lata Manheshkar, playback Singer, Dr. Indira Hinduja, Gynecologist, instrumental hand behind the birth of first test tube Indian baby, Dhiru Bhai Ambani, an industrialist, with amazing but hard to believe success story, if you have been asked to choose a common in all these, you will be surely surprised, they all are from different fields of life, born and brought up in different socio-economic environment, they had worked with different ideology and in different era, even their gender is not common, hold your surprise for a little more, I am going to answer it for you.

Indira Gandhi, born in the most famous political family of country and become famous as symbol of strength and authority of Indian woman. Balasaheb's Hindu supporting political vision has made him the strongest political power in Maharashta state of India. A.B. or Big B born in the family of famous poet Harivanshrai and become symbol of expression of youth anger on Indian Silver Screen. Sangli born Lata, was born in the family having an attraction for music, her sweet soft voice which vibrates with musical beats fetched for her, undisputed kingly status in Indian Film Industry. To the success of Dhiru Bhai we can give one and only one title" A Journey of dust particle to the Galaxy". They all are toppers of their respective fields, they have given a new meaning and height to success in their field and created non destroyable impressions by their never before and amazing success.

Reaching to Top

It is not possible for every desire to reach its destination, every working person is symbolizing success but just few are among the toppers. The simple formula of reaching to top is the implementation of phrase "There is always vacant space at your top”. The recipe of reaching top is composed of simple ingredients like

A bit of Luck

A good amount of knowledge

Some thick pieces of desire to look differ from lot

A sufficient long and persisting will to work hard

A real huge utensil of power of imagination and unique ideas, to cook on the fire of zeal and enthusiasm.

Reaching to top is not a difficult task in fact it is among the simplest tasks of the life. Your difficulties, which were generating a fear within you for reaching to top, start getting only after you reach to top because it is the height from where one can slip downward, surface movers are free from this.

Remaining on Top

The first challenge that will challenge your place on the top is your ability of coping with the expectations, one of the worst word from the dictionary, before reaching to top you was one among the common hence nobody was expecting anything from you but by reaching to top you had made yourself special and people started staring at you with excepting eyes for the delivery of something extra ordinary and guiding one from you.

You have to be innovative at every moment as you will have to get the work done in different and most effective style. Success is not the following the established standards and norms but is creating new ones for the others. You have raised yourself from the crowded place but there is space vacant above, you yourself can go there but can't prevent others from going there.

You need to be polite and adjustable, windy storms never harm gross and herbs because they know the art of bending but huge tress have to suffer loss of some of their strongest branches which try to remain straight against these storms.

You must be very calculative and selective in expression of your reactions, timely and proper expressions hold the key for keeping your place intact. This aspect is related with your inner power hence you must hold a clear and loudly visible concept of spirituality.

Political Play

Political Play

India the land of peace, understanding and mutual co-operation seems to be polarized on the recent nuclear treaty, it is not only the opposition that is on the other side of the decision of the government, as it happens in usual ways of democratic setups but one of the friendly political party, supporting coalition government, is putting a hard voice and showing intentions of even withdrawing support to government. Just look how the left is dictating the terms with their 65 members of Parliament in the house of 545 members. Ruling UPA is with house strength of 217 members, and if the external support of these 65 members is withdrawn than government will came in the minority and President of India will be forced to announce pre term elections, because the political situations are such that neither BJP headed NDA [186 members] nor the third front [136 members] are in the position of giving new government. The hard lines taken by Prime minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and left leadership on the issue are holding over than 110 crores Indians as hostage for their ego clash. Political analyzers have started to look at political scene that might emerge if the country is forced to face pre term elections but if we look at ground realities we will find that certain following situations are against the preterm election.

  1. Just look at the statement, of Shri. L.K.Adwani leader of NDA, “We don’t think that this is proper time to dislodge this government.” It also indicates opposition is not prepared to face the midterm election. It is possible that in all probabilities NDA will not support any “No confidence move” initiated by left in the house.
  2. With the time wisdom of common men is grown and a visible faith on scientists and professional over the politicians is going to become new identification mark of Indian youth. The interesting thing is that all the scientists and technical professional are finding this treaty in favor of the country. Beside this left parties are also aware of the lost ground in their strongest hold West Bengal, due to agitation for farmers protesting against SEZ. Internal clashes are weakening party in their second strong hold Kerala and in the rest of country their presence and effect can easily brought down to earth.
  3. BJP and NDA are not happy with the recently shifting of news focus over the Prakash Karant and few other left leaders, so they will not leave any space for making these villain in the vision of common Indians.
  4. No political party is with the leaders to match with the fame of Sonia Gandhi and Dr. Singh, BJP might have dared for it but bad health of Atal Bihari Vajpayee and low acceptability of Lal Krishna Adwani is ceasing their fate.
  5. Over all, all the political parties are aware of the fact that common man is become fade of political stability and if the preterm elections are held at this moment only congress party will be benefited from it.

So dear, don’t be so worry, wait with patience, this is a passing shower of unseasoned rain and the so called political stability of the country will return to normalcy in very short future.

Technological Advancement & Green House Effect

Technological Advancement & Green House Effect

The journey of technological achievements is the expression of the human wants, as almost all the progress in this direction is directly or indirectly meant to bring more and more comforts in the human life, From Medicine to Space researches, from moderation of crop cultivation to Industrialization boom every new technology invented only for the human beings to meet with the proportionally increasing population and demands.

With the growing population, human individual and social life is under the speedy alterations, rural life is going to be sidelined by the attractive, dreamy, mirage full and more importantly with much and much populated city life. Industrialization and Urbanization are the two important yields of the technological advancement and are the root cause of the deforestation. This process of reduction in the forest lands started the imbalance of the environment and resulted in the disturbance of human health. According to World Health Organization [WHO] Health is fundamental right of every citizen of earth irrespective of race, religion, and political belief, economic and social conditions and is “State of Physical, Mental and Social well-being and not merely the absence of disease and infirmity”. In the previous article we had talked about the individual health and effects of pollutants, here we will concentrate on the social aspect. Life activities on earth are dependable on the amount of solar energy [radiations] absorbed by the earth. In the environmental it is common saying "Venus is too hot, Mars is too cold, and Earth is just right." This is because of earth’s average surface temperature remains in between the freezing point and boiling point of the water. This temperature is ideal for the existence and growth of the life; it is unfortunate that our technological advancements are proving catalysts for the growth in the temperature of the earth surface. This phenomenon of increase in temperature is commonly known as the Global Warming, the destroying power of this can be visualized from that Global warming may prove the reason to start of third world war. The first step of Global warming starts with the “Green House Effect”.

Green House Effect

Go on the village bound roads of the Maharashtra state, a state speeding on technological advancement, road side dome shaped structures constructed on the crop fields are the common sight. These dome shaped constructions are the Green Houses, meant to cultivated flowers and vegetables by trapping reflected solar radiations and keeping the temperature inside the dome suitable and matched with the favorable for the plant life. Earth is with natural green house. Energy radiated by the sun in the form of spectrums of varying wave length. Visible light energy [wave length 400 and 700 nm] comes through the atmosphere and absorbed by land, ocean and plants on the earth. This light energy is converted into heat energy and re-radiates in the form of infra red radiation [invisible, wave length range from 700 to 1000 nm]. The natural effect of this must be that during the day temperature of earth goes on increasing and with the sun set it should goes on reducing rapidly to reach below the zero degrees but our day to day life proves other than this, because the trace gases, mainly water vapor (H2O), carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), and nitrous oxide (NOx), of our atmosphere works as an insulator or blanket which trapped these energy radiations and helps in keeping the earth surface temperature constant. This is the natural Green House effect and these gaseous components of the atmosphere are known as the Green House Gases. This atmospheric green house effect is dependable of many factors [scientific term: albedo, which defines the percentage of solar energy reflected back by a surface] such as cloud cover, type of earth surface, amount of green house gases and so on. The predications of the climatic changes are based on the study of albedo. The following are some of the factors that influence the earth's albedo.

Cloud Albedo: Altitude and optical properties of the clouds are the factors that are intended to produce cool or warm effect on the earth surface respectively. Cumulus and cumulonimbus cloud appearing at low altitudes are reflecting incoming solar energy hence reduce the earth’s surface temperature, where as the cirrus clouds which are comparatively thinner and placed at more height are increasing the surface temperature of earth by absorbing more solar energy.

Surface Albedo: Dark colored lands are more absorptive hence we find high temperatures in the desert land where as ice lands are more reflective so most of the radiation energy get reflected and temperature.

Coming up: How human beings are disturbing atmospheric green house effect and Global Warming.

Air Pollution & Pollutants

Air Pollution & Pollutants
Science says that pollution is the presence of improper thing at particular place or the improper ratios are the pollution. When it comes to environmental pollution it usually means the air with undesirable substances or with the abnormal ratios of the constituent gasses. Though the science is looking at and every body talks and seems bothering about the physical pollution of human environment but either the people are not aware about the more destroying mental pollution or over looking it, thinking that it needs more energy and more cumulative efforts. In this article we are also limiting ourselves with the physical pollution and human participation in the environmental pollution. As we know the chief constituents of the atmosphere are the Oxygen and Nitrogen both constitute almost 98 % and other gaseous and solid particles occupy just 2% and more interestingly this lesser ratio constituents are playing the major role for creating the problem and concern for the human beings. A few year back a prominent head line of Mumbai News papers was" Thousands fishes were found on the shore near the Hazi Ali." Similar news was in the news papers of Uttar Pradesh "Colors and designs embedded in the architect of Taj Mahal are fading up." Some what similar to these about the world Heritage site Khujrahoo is hiting the news box in India in these days. All these are the visible effects of environmental pollution but most alarming effect of this pollution is adverse developments observed in the field of human health. The destroying thing is that human beings are well versed with this deadly dangerous environmental pollution for human social health but still kept on adding to increase pollution. It was the discovery of wheel, treated as the entrance of technology in the human life, and steam power that has tempted human beings to go for designing the first vehicle and start pollution of environment with changing the ratio of air carbon dioxide by adding carbon dioxide produced from the combustion of coal, this process went on with the technological advancement, industrialization and urbanization. The thorn of wound population growth has added to this through the deforestation and increased used of domestic appliances. Pollution is now just limited to health hazards but becoming alarming danger of Global Warming which might be the cause of the third world war in the future. Yet another deadly affect of this high use of CFC [Choloro flouro carbon] compound is the formation of hole in the sunscreen of earth called "Ozone Layer. The ozone layer is a layer of ozone particles scattered between 19 and 30 kilometers (12 to 30 miles) up in the Earth's atmosphere, in a region called the stratosphere. The concentration of ozone in the ozone layer is usually under 10 parts ozone per million. Without the ozone layer, ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the Sun would not be stopped from entering the Earth's atmosphere and arriving at the surface, causing damage to most living species. These UV radiations are one among the cause of skin cancer in the human beings. The natural balance of ozone, Which is produced by photolysis in the stratosphere and loss of ozone by its reactions with various compounds containing nitrogen, hydrogen and chlorine. These chemicals all occur naturally in the atmosphere in very small amounts is heavily disturbed by the increasing release of CFCs to the atmosphere. Pollutants: These are may be all together a new substance or the variable ratio of the air constituents. A very few like volcano gases are the natural pollutants but most of pollutants are the products of human based activities. In most areas of Europe, America and most of the developed and developing countries these pollutants are principally the products of combustion from space heating, power generation or from motor vehicle traffic. The principal pollutants produced by industrial, domestic and traffic sources. Sulphur Dioxide (SO2): Beside causing the acid rains [refer effect on Taj Mahal] is associated with the causes of Asthma and chronic bronchitis. Carbon Monoxide (CO): Almost 90% of this is produced from the vehicle fuel combustion. This toxic gas affects the oxygen caring capacity of blood haemoglobin. Nitrogen Dioxide(NO2): These are one of the deadly pollutants, as from the industries and other sources emitted out as Nitrogen Oxides [NO] which in the air get oxidized to Nitrogen Dioxide(NO2) by reacting with Ozone (O3) and ultimately to nitrous and nitric acids causing acid rain and smog. Suspended particulate matter (SPM) consists of solids in the air in the form of smoke, dust, and vapors that can remain suspended for extended periods and is also the main source of haze which reduces visibility. The finer of these particles, when breathed in can lodge in our lungs and cause lung damage and respiratory problems. The list of chief air pollutants and their sources goes like this Carbon monoxide (CO) Incomplete burning of carbon-based fuels including petrol, diesel, and wood. Combustion of natural and synthetic products such as cigarettes. Carbon dioxide (CO2) Burning of coal, oil, and natural gases. Chloroflorocarbons (CFC) Mainly from air-conditioning systems and refrigeration. Nitrogen oxides (Nox), is produced from burning fuels including petrol, diesel, and coal. Sulphur dioxide (SO2) Burning coal, mainly in thermal power plants. Some industrial processes, such as production of paper and smelting of metals, produce sulphur dioxide.

Just Sixty

Just Sixty

It is just reaching to midnight of 60th Independence Day of India, when I thought of writing for my blog after almost whole day of patriotic telecast on various T V channels. At this hour my mind is so loaded with this sixty such that I can't even think of anything else. In fact I am unable to determine is this effect of overdose of sitting before the TV screen or influence of my inner world's inspiration that I am coming with this article "Just Sixty". I recall a incident from my childhood a saint visited my father's dispensary and I didn't bowed properly to touch his feet. When saint went away father called me " listen son, you may not bow to a person for the wisdom but as the mark of respect to the age of the person you must bow". In our Indian traditions there is a special celebration called "Shashatipurti" which is celebrated to mark ones sixtieth birthday. Being a science student my vision to 60 hold a different aspect also. sixty is a two digit number and human population is result of fusion of two, there are two other abodes for human after the death, Heaven and Hell, economically human beings are either rich or poor, it is said there are only two basic tastes Sweat and Sour, every coin holds two sides Head and Tail and finally human life remains under the influence either of divine powers or ill spirits.

Now we turn to two digits "6" and "0" of sixty. In our daily life we know this Zero holds the power changing the value to a great extent. It is said that Zero indicates vacuum and vacuum in the other words is space, look at how the inventions and discoveries related to space are affecting human life. In the numerology Zero is considered among the powerful numbers that brings some transformational changes in a profound manner. It holds such a great intensity that special caution become essential to ensure that extremes are not encountered. Zero is denoted by an empty circle the emptiness symbolizes the death while the circle indicates the totality of the life.

You might recall your childhood, you often jump with joy when the dice shows this number six, in the cricket six are the most possible runs, it is said number six indicates six things, luck, love, health, beauty, chance and win simultaneously and who can dare to deny the importance, influence and affect of these six on day to day life of human beings. If you look into the history seal of Solomon was with six points. For the Chinese six hold a great significant value as for them day and night each is composed of six periods and hence six represents universe. Christianity looks at six as the symbol of perfection and creation as it was the sixth day when man was created. Hebrew symbolizes six for the meditation and intelligence. According to Indian philosophy there are six philosophical systems. The Six Capacities of Our Human Spirits are (1) self-transcendence, (2) freedom, (3) creativity, (4) love, (5) anxiety, & (6) joy. Numerologists say that six is most productive of all numbers and equilibrium, harmony and balance all three can be represented by number six. I would like to conclude this with the six rays of the solar wheel.

Let us wait and watch the magical influence of this just sixty on the India, who is still with the hangover of the celebrations of 60th Independence Day.

India at Sixty

India at Sixty

Countries and Nations can be the streams constituting ocean of human beings. Each and every country and nation have one of its peculiar and specific custom or tradition that gives an identity to the citizens of that part of globe but when it comes to India, the land of oldest knowledge books Vedas, The world’s oldest living civilization, the meaning get a different format because India is just not a country but is a nation compiled from various thought process, living styles and customs and traditions. In fact this diversity which in the most cases work as splitting seed is working for the country to make the most powerful driving power of this era of information and technology.

It is common saying of political world childhood of politician’s ends only after crossing forty and at fifty they start sensing the situations and realizing their own responsibilities. When today we are celebrating 60th Independence Day of the country I was thinking about the one most effective incidence of free India and my thoughts after rooming here and there got stabilization at the “Emergency status” of about 18 months between 1975 and 1977.

With the emergency the one image that was visualized by my mind was of the Indira Firoz Gandhi, the most powerful prime minister of India, Most effective politician of world in influencing moss population and instrumental for imposing emergency status just for sack of preserving her status of being prime minister of the country. Those were the days of British rule when on November 19, 1917, Kamala Nehru wife of most famous political leader Jawaharlal Nehru, has given birth to a girl child, who was named as Indira piryadarshani, it was illness and untimely death of mother that made the childhood of Indira away from the shadows of natural protecting, full of affection and guiding care of mother. This might be the reason of highly self centered and commanding attitude of the Indira Gandhi. This situation also created the atmosphere in which she was founding her more closely associated with father and started to be active in the freedom struggle with leading “Vanar Sena”. The political guidance and practical lessons from the father till his death in 1964. It was her strong will that has made her the Prime Minister of country in 1966 just within the two years of death of her father. When I say she was the most influenced and effective politician, it is not because her achievements listed below but for the unmatched effect generated by her on masses that not only made her Prime Minister of one of the largest democracies of the world but created atmosphere for the ruling of the country by her late son Rajiv Gandhi, Daughter in law Sonia Gandhi [ruling unofficially] and Grand sons Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi [Being looked as the Future Prime Minister of India]. She was instrumental in diverting and converting the social leadership of political party formed even before her birth into individual leadership. What more illustration will be there for her self centered nature, she has changed the Indian National Congress into Indira Congress. It was unfortunate that she was assassinated on October 31, 1984 due to anguish generated from the “operation blue star”. Just have a look at some of the major achievements of her as the political leader of India:

*** President of Indian National Congress [1959]

*** Union Minister in L.B.Shastri’s Cabinet

*** Prime Minister of India [1966]

*** Nationalization of Banks

*** Stopping of Pension given to rulers of various riyasats.

*** Army support for the formation of Bangaladesh [1971]

*** Imposing Emergency status on country [June 1975]

*** Lost of General election and Government [1977]

*** Operation Blue Star [1984]

For those who might be interested article 352 of Indian constitution, which allowed her to impose emergency status is given here below:

Teacher: The Best Educator

It might a co-incident that yesterday night I was watching or more correctly listening, because it is my habit when I am working I always keep my TV set on, hindi movie "Good Boys Bad Boys" and read a new about the misconduct by some girl students at a Private school at Sydney. It only tempted me to write this but recalled the days of my life as the teacher when I used to say " We are here at school not just for completing syllabus of the subject thought by us, but it is our moral duty to see that our student must go into their future social life as a good responsible citizen." and try my Laval best to achieve it. I recall my chemistry teacher V B Nagar Sir's words , when I was about to start my teaching career " See if you can make even a single student value respecting person in the whole year, count that year in successful years of your life".
coming back to Sydney news some girl students started to leave marks of their lipstick loaded lips on the mirrors in the bathrooms, it was troublesome for the staff to clean the mirror in the night before the next day break, when it went on for several days and even the expel warning prove ineffective than Principal thought to give a practical lesson to these few girl students, she called all the students to bathroom and the maintenance staff and told " See, since last few days we are facing a problem regarding the cleanness of the school even our expel warning proved insufficient to prevent some of you from leaving marks of lipstick loaded lips on the mirrors. After all school is not my personal property we all are using this premises and it is our moral duty to keep it clean, so I decided to give you all a demo at how your this silly action is making difficult the job of maintenance staff, now Mr. Chapel will give the way that they have adopted to clean the lip marks left by you on the mirror." Mr.Chapel came forward, took a long-handled squeegee, dipped it in the toilet, and cleaned the mirror with it.
Yes dear your guss is correct from that day onwards no marks of lips are found on the mirrors of the bath room.

At last Indian Century atOval

At last Indian Century atOval
English Summer
Yesterday evening when in this column I wrote that third and final test match between India and England will go in the history with three Indian names who missed the century. Everybody was agreed to that but there was a person who was with a different idea, the person was Jambo Mr.Perfect Ten from India and now the oval test will go in the history with maiden century by India top wicket tacker, world famous bowler, Anil Kumbale. Mr. Perfect ten has inssured that India is not going to loose this test and if not by 2-0 surely going to win the series by 1-0. Infact it a long since the Indians have played as team and proved their batting strength which always looked most dangrous on the papers for the oponents. Importance of Anil's knock of ton underlined by the fact it is almost certain that India in all probabilities is not going to bat again in this test. The everest of 664 runs is requiring a much controlled efforts from english player. First they need to be determined for avoiding the followon at present second day is ended with 24 for 1 it means they are still 640 run behind on first inning. The day three and four are going to provide acid test for the England team. Pitch is not supportive much for the speed stars but surely the natural tear and wear will going to help Mr.Perfect Ten and making the life of english batsman hard and harder. Kumble with the cussion of his own century and huge first inning total will go with killer mood. Here is some thing more about Mr. Perfect Ten from India.
